Tom Carson is Rovi's president and chief executive officer.
Mr. Carson is Rovi's president, chief executive officer and a member of the Rovi Corporation Board of Directors. Prior to his appointment as chief executive in December 2011, Mr. Carson served as the company's executive vice president, Sales & Marketing, where he was instrumental in expanding the company globally by gaining traction for its new solutions.
Mr. Carson joined Rovi in May 2008, with the acquisition of Gemstar-TV Guide International. At Gemstar, Mr. Carson held key positions, including executive vice president of Sales and Services of Rovi, president of Gemstar's North American Guide business and president for Gemstar-TV Guide On Screen. Prior to his tenure with Gemstar, Mr. Carson held a variety of executive positions at Thomson Corporation, including Executive Vice President of Thomson's Program Office; Executive Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing Services; and Executive Vice President, Patents and Licensing, among other roles.
Mr. Carson holds a B.S. in Business Administration as well as an MBA from Villanova University.
Andrew K. Ludwick is chairman of the Board of Directors.
Mr. Ludwick has been a private investor since November 1997. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Bay Networks, a networking company, from September 1995 to October 1997. From July 1985 to September 1995, Mr. Ludwick was Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of SynOptics, an internetworking company. Mr. Ludwick holds a B.A. from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Alan Earhart is a member of Rovi Corporation's Board of Directors.
From 1970 to 2001, Mr. Earhart held a variety of positions with Coopers & Lybrand and its successor entity, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, an accounting and consulting firm, including most recently as the Managing Partner for PricewaterhouseCoopers' Silicon Valley office. Mr. Earhart retired as partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in 2001. Mr. Earhart serves on the Board of Directors of Foundry Networks, Inc., Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. and Network Appliance, Inc. Mr. Earhart holds a B.S. in accounting from the University of Oregon.

Mr. Meyer has served as president of Operations and Sales at Sirius Satellite Radio since April 2004. He is also president of Aegis Ventures Incorporated, a consulting firm that provides general management services. From December 2001 until 2002, Mr. Meyer served as special advisor to the Chairman of Thomson Multimedia, Inc. From January 1997 until December 2001, Mr. Meyer served as the senior executive vice president for Thomson as well as chief operating officer for Thomson Consumer Electronics. Mr. Meyer holds a B.S. in Economics and an MBA from St. Bonaventure University.

Mr. O'Shaughnessy currently serves as Chief Intellectual Property Counsel of HarQuen, Inc., a private company focused on voice technology solutions. Mr. O’Shaughnessy also conducts a consulting practice in the field of intangible intellectual asset management and also serves as a principal in Lake Street Holding, LLC, a company devoted to technology management. From 1996 until his retirement in 2004, Mr. O'Shaughnessy served as vice president and chief intellectual property counsel at Rockwell Automation. Prior to his service with Rockwell, Mr. O'Shaughnessy was a partner with Foley & Lardner, specializing in the firm's intellectual property practice. Mr. O'Shaughnessy holds a B.S. in materials engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
Ruthann Quindlen is a member of Rovi Corporation's Board of Directors.
Since 2003, Ms. Quindlen has been a Director on the Board of Georgetown University. Since 1994, Ms. Quindlen has been a general partner or managing member of Funds VI-VIII with Institutional Venture Partners (IVP), one of Silicon Valley's leading investment firms, where she works with her partners to evaluate ongoing investments in IVP portfolio companies. Prior to joining IVP, Ms. Quindlen was a managing director at Alex Brown & Sons. Ms. Quindlen holds a B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
