Rovi and Nuance Partner to Deliver Fully Integrated Conversational Voice Interface

Rovi and Nuance Communications announced a joint initiative to deliver an end-to-end solution for conversational entertainment discovery. This fully integrated voice interface lets people speak naturally to quickly and easily find and access content.

Nuance is a top provider of voice and language solutions with its leading Dragon TV voice recognition, text-to-speech and voice biometrics. When integrated with Rovi’s cloud-based Conversation Services, the intelligent hybrid solution lets device manufacturers, developers and service providers offer their customers reliable, scalable voice interfaces for fast, relevant search results and content recommendations.

Rovi Conversation Services allows for free-flowing dialogue that delivers fast and contextually relevant search results. It is powered by the Rovi Knowledge Graph, which maintains real-time information on more than 100 million entertainment-related entities, including program titles, celebrity names, brands and other relevant elements.
